Imaginary unit and other non-relativistic Quantum Mechanical adventures of Galilean invariance

Room: 204
Speaker: Stefano Bacchi (PhD student, University of Trieste)
The role of Galilean invariance in non-relativistic quantum mechanics will be discussed. The relation between complex numbers and the central extension of the Galilei group in the framework of quantum mechanics will be explained also by following the suggestions coming from classical mechanics.
