Gisin’s theorem and no-faster-than-light signaling

Room: 204
Speaker: Mohammad Bahrami
One way to study possible theories beyond standard quantum theory is to modify Schrodinger equation by adding new terms. If we aim at resolving the measurement problems, the new terms should be non-linear. However, it has been shown by Gisin and many others, that a deterministic nonlinear modification of Schrodinger gives rise to superluminal signalling. We shall discuss the detail of Gisin’s argument and related issues.
