Path-Integral Reformulation of Spontaneous Collapse Models

Collapse models aim to solve the measurement problem by modifying the dynamics predicted by standard quantum mechanics, typically through stochastic Schrödinger equations. This project aims to develop a path-integral formulation of these models. The student will study existing stochastic path-integral methods and apply them to obtain a new mathematical representation of spontaneous collapse dynamics. This theoretical work may yield conceptual insights and facilitate numerical simulations in future studies of collapse phenomena.
