Experimental Upper Bounds on Mass-Dependent Spontaneous Collapse Models

Collapse models aim to solve the measurement problem by modifying the dynamics predicted by standard quantum mechanics. This project aims to extend recent work on their mass-dependent generalizations. The student will use a range of experimental data to derive additional upper bounds on the parameters of these models, complementing existing bounds. The goal is to strengthen or challenge the experimental viability of alternative collapse mechanisms.
