Supercontinuum generation in a nonlinear optical medium via nonlinear Schrodinger equation

The nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLS), which is the predominant equation in nonlinear phenomena in optics, is the result of Maxwell's equations. Different nonlinear effects are observed in a media due to high intensity electromagnetic signal. We will discuss the supercontinuum generation, as it is needed in many scientific and technological disciplines.
