Born in Udine (Italy) in 1973. He was awarded the degree in Physics (Summa cum laude) at the University of Trieste in 1998 and the Ph.D. in Physics in 2001. Subsequently he was Post Doctoral Fellow and Visiting Scientist at the ICTP in Trieste (2002/04) and Marie-Curie Fellow at the University Ludwig-Maximillian of Munich (2004/06). In December 2006 he has become staff member of the Department of Physics of the University of Trieste.
His research activity includes the Foundations of Quantum Mechanics and in particular collapse models. He has published more than 30 articles in international Journals, he is referee for several Journals, co-organizer and co-editor of the Proceedings of two international conferences, Guest Editor of the Special Issue of Journal of Physics A, "The Quantum Universe" (2007).
He collaborates with the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton (prof. S.L. Adler), the L.M. University of Munich (prof. D. Duerr) and the University of Milan (dr. B. Vacchini).
