Opening of the Trieste Institute for the Theory of Quantum Technologies (TQT)

A new institute the Trieste Institute for the Theory of Quantum Technologies (TQT) was formally opened this week, on 25th March, at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics with a keynote lecture from Professor Cirac. The institute is a collaboration between the University of Trieste, the International Centre for Theoretical Physics and la Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (SISSA) and it aims to become an international reference point for training and research on quantum technologies, such as supercomputers, precision sensors and cryptography.
